Our Beliefs

WE BELIEVE

The sum of all our theological beliefs is Jesus Christ.

Everything we believe - all the details of our doctrine - spring from knowing God through His Son Jesus Christ. He's the reason we exist, the goal we aim for, and the explanation of life!

We believe that the complete Word of God - the Old and New Testaments are verbally and planarly inspired of God, meaning that all words in the Bible are literally and equally the very words of God, in the original writings. The Word of God is inerrant and infallible and preserved for all ages. It alone is the supreme and final authority for all our faith and practices. (Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalms 19:7-8; Psalms 119:89; Hebrews 4:12).

We believe in one true God who is the supreme creator and ruler of heaven and earth. God is eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; three in one, co-equal, which is the Trinity. God alone is worthy of all praise, glory and honor because there is none like Him. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-6, 46:9-10; John 17:3; 1 Corinthians 8:4-6; 1 Timothy 2:5; Genesis 1:26; Psalm 45:6-7, 110:1; Matthew 3:13-17, 28:17-20; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Malachi 3:7; Acts 17:24-15; Psalms 135:6).

We believe that Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, was begotten of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. The Son of God became the sinless Son of Man (Matthew 1:20; Luke 2:52; John 1:1-4, John 1:14; Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 1:1-3).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world as a substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood (John 1:29, 10:1-18; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 1:4; 1 Peter 3:18).

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into Heaven and His present life there as the High Priest and Advocate for all who believe in Him. (Matthew 28:1-20; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-53; John 1:20-21:25, 14:3; 1 Corinthians 15:12-34; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Hebrews 9:28; 1 John 3:2; Revelation 1:7).

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.  He has a ministry baptizing believers into the body of Christ, sealing believers until the day of redemption, and empowering His people who yielded their lives to Him.  The gifts of healing and speaking in tongues temporary given for a specific purpose and they are no longer given to people today (Matthew 4:1; 28:19, John 14:26, Romans 8:11; 16; 26-27, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18 1 John 5:7; John 14:26; John 16:14; Galatians 5:22-24; 1 Corinthians 13:10; Acts 10:44-47).

We believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again, and by God’s grace they become children of God and heirs of eternal life.  (John 3:18, 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:21-26; 1 Timothy 2:5-6).

We believe in the security of believers.  All believers can have confidence that their salvation is kept secure by the power of God.   (John 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Romans 8:1; 38-39; 1 Corinthians 1:4-8; 1 Peter 1:4-5)

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God. After man voluntary sinned, mankind incurred physical death as well as spiritual death, which is separation from God for eternity; all human beings are born with a sinful nature and destined to spend eternity in the lake of fire. The only way a person can escape this penalty is by placing their faith and trust in the Savior, Jesus Christ (Genesis 6:5; Psalm 51:5; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:23, 5:8, 5:12-21, 7:18; Ephesians 2:1-3; John 3:16; 1 John 5:12).

We believe in the personal, imminent and pre-millennial return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the seven-year tribulation will begin following the rapture of the believers. (Thessalonians 4:13-18).

We believe that the lake of fire is the final punishment of torment of the devil, his angels and all those who do not receive Christ as their Savior (Matthew 4:1 1; Peter 5:8; Revelation 20:10).

We believe the church, the body of Christ, is made up of born again baptized believers.  Christ is the head of the church and there are two offices of the church: the pastor (who is the under-shepherd), and deacons.  Therefore, the local church is autonomous from any outside hierarchy or authority.   The mission of the church is to reach the world with the Great Commission both at home and around the world by supporting foreign missionaries.  Believers should be good stewards of the money that they are entrusted with and financed the ministries of the church by the giving of “tithes and offering”  (1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:4; 11-13; Matthew 28:19-20Acts 13:1-4; 15:19-31; 20:28; Rom. 16:1, 4; 1 Cor. 3:9, 16; 5:4-7, 13; 1 Pet. 5:1-4).

We believe that the ordinances of the Church, given by our Lord, are Baptism (by immersion) and the Lord’s Supper (Communion) (Romans 6:1-11, Acts 2:41; 8:12; 10:47–48).
